What is Your God-given Purpose?

When Jesus stood up to read in the synagogue, what did He read (Luke 4:16-21)? What did Jesus say His God-given purpose was?

Reflect on your God-given purpose. God has a unique path for each of us to take through life:

  • Psa 31:3, Allow Him to lead you and guide you for His name’s sake.
  • Pro 3:5-7, Trust in God. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your paths. Don’t depend on your own way of doing things. Fear Him and lean on Him for understanding.
  • Jer 10:23, It is not your role to direct your own steps.

As one who is seeking God’s unique purpose in my life I really appreciate this. I know that my overarching purpose is to know God and to make Him known, but searching out God’s unique calling on my life.

I appreciate how much you lean on Scripture to make your points. In addition to your post, I like the sovereignty that is shown in Ephesians 2:10. God has prepared for us the good works that we will do, so we need only be intentional to see them and obedient to step into them. He will take care of the rest.
