Consider the leadership principle in Luke 19:28-44. The crowd that was praising Jesus on His way to Jerusalem is the same crowd who wanted to kill Him a few hours later. Be aware, those who deify may also crucify. Be cautious of people who flatter you at the expense of others.

This is an excellent point! I recently posted about writers online who just praise each other’s works and from writer’s cliques. I feel like the same principle applies. Thanks for sharing this =)

This is such a good post. I discovered my love language is Words of Affirmation. And my top strength in strengthFinder is competition. What a recipe for disaster. I have to constantly check my motives.
