How to Be an Ambassador

handshake-1Gregory Koukl’s book Tactics provides a game plan for being a good ambassador. Our engagements with others should resemble diplomacy, not a battle.

There are three basic skills for an ambassador:

  1. Content: Know the central message of God’s kingdom and be aware of the typical issues others bring to discussions.
  2. Method: Be comfortable using the tools of a diplomat to express yourself clearly and persuasively.
  3. Manner: Embody the character of Christ as you interact with people. Be gracious and charitable. If you or the other person get angry, you have failed as an ambassador.
