Affirm, Don’t Flatter

To keep your team solid, you need to affirm team members.

Don’t flatter them.

Flattery does not cause growth and can lead to manipulation (Pro 29:5).

  • To affirm, simply point out each person’s strengths and express appreciation for them (Pro 16:24).
  • Never point out something as a strength that is not.
  • Point out how each one’s strengths benefits the team.
