Pray and Stay Curious

How do you react to a crisis situation? Two ways to be effective in a crisis are to pray and stay curious.

  • Before you react to a crisis, say a silent prayer asking God to show you how to handle things His way (Neh 2:2-4).
  • Next, stay curious. Go into analysis mode. If you do that, your brain stays busy and is less likely to give in to the urge to get angry, frustrated, or frightened. When you minimize the effect of those emotions, you are more likely to make good decisions.
