Do You Observe and Report?

Our Safety Team is creating a course called Observe and Report.

The idea is to watch for anything that appears unsafe or suspicious and to report it to the Safety Team so they can investigate.

That reminded me of our spiritual responsibility to watch and listen for things that don’t appear to line up with God’s Word.

If we observe something, we need to say something about it.

The term the KJV Bible uses for this is exhort.

Some people replace exhort with encourage; however exhort has a deeper meaning. It is to urge, plead, warn, and beseech others to avoid things contrary to God’s Word. 

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day;

lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  Heb 3:13
