At this time of year, many of us think about the things for which we are thankful. Leader, here are two things to add to your list (if you haven’t already included them).
- Give thanks to God because He is God (Psa 9:1-2). Whatever leadership role you have, whether it involves a formal role or whether you lead by influence, He put you in that role. Begin by thanking Him for who He is.
- Give thanks to God for the people He has placed under your care (Phm 4-6). Let God know you take that responsibility seriously. Lift them up to Him for how they allow Christ to work through them.

God gives each of us a circle of influence. You are “spot on” that we should be thankful for this AND take it seriously. As Paul told Timothy, we are to be “Good soldiers of the gospel of Christ.” Blessings!
