Even if you have a worthy vision, are intelligent, are highly-skilled, and have charisma, there is one more thing you need to be a successful leader.
Without it, you might achieve some short-term successes; however, long-term you will struggle.
That one thing is what some people call GRIT.
Grit is a stedfast determination to stay true to your vision and goals despite setbacks and difficulties (Col 2:5-7).
- Are you rooted and established in the faith?
- Do you have the GRIT to lead the way Christ wants you to lead?

Indeed, grit is a necessary life ingredient if we we wish to live it for the Lord. Let’s pray, “Dear Lord, give us grit so that our lives bring you glory. Amen!”

Somehow, I perceive that you do indeed have grit. 🙂

It’s been a long time since I’ve heard that word, but it is exactly the right one. Grit-less leaders don’t stand up under pressure.

Life (and leadership) really is more of a marathon than a sprint. This is a helpful reminder.
