Leading isn’t helpful if you lead people down the wrong path.
The only way to be on the right path is to ask God what He wants you to do and when He wants you to do it, then do what He says.
Consider how David asked God what to do and how he waited for the signal God said He would give him (2Sam 5:22-25). David listened to the sound in the tops of the mulberry trees.
- Do you ask God what He wants you to do and when?
- Do you follow God’s instructions?
If you can wholeheartedly reply “yes” to those questions, you will be leading on the right path.

I’m sure I’ve read this passage in 2 Samuel before, but had forgotten it. What a great reminder! We should wait for God like David did. Leadership is too much for just one person. The most effective leaders involve others while also looking to God for guidance. Blessings!
PS. One thing I enjoy most about your posts is they are short and to the point.
