Many people think it takes charisma and vision to be a leader. Those are certainly helpful qualities. If those qualities aren’t your strengths, you can still be a leader.
Consider how Abigail set an example of being a leader by influencing others for good.
- She presented herself as a servant, 1Sam 25:23.
- She encouraged others, 1Sam 25:28-31.
- Her advice was godly, 1Sam 25:32-35.
Lord, help us all be servant leaders who encourage others and offer godly advice.

Yes, I pray with you,”Lord, help us all be servant leaders who encourage others and offer godly advice.” And – help us learn to heed our own advice, too!!

Amen, my friend. Sometimes what you say makes me laugh, but there’s always a nugget of truth in there.

One of my favorite books is “The 360 Degree Leader “ by John C. Maxwell. As the title implies, one can lead from almost anywhere. Yes, there are those who are more naturally commanders but a servant leader can step up anytime, just like Abigail did. Thank you for your short posts that are straight to the point. Blessings!
