Some people sulk when they don’t get their own way.
Consider the example of Ahab sulking because Naboth refused to sell his vineyard to him, 1Kgs 21:1-4.
As you might suspect, sullenness in a leader undermines the respect that others have for that leader.
Even worse, insisting on your own way violates God’s instruction to us to love one another, 1Cor 13:4-6.

Ahab is a good example. His obsession with getting Naboth’s vineyard led to even greater error. He took the advice of his evil wife and killed the other man to get what he wanted. Sulking opens the door to greater sin.
