As a leader, you may want a quick resolution to a difficult situation.
Perhaps you’ve identified what you think would be the perfect solution.
Your solution may not be what God has in mind at this time.
When was the last time you waited patiently on the Lord?
Consider David’s example in Psalm 40:1-3.
Waiting can be a time to pray, sing to God, and praise Him.
As David tells us, when we do that, others may see it and be encouraged to trust in God.
Isn’t that worth the sacrifice of your patient waiting?

I realized this past summer, when serving as an administrator at school: I shouldn’t be expected to fix something in five minutes that took five days to develop.

Indeed! I pray for patience every morning as I descend my sanctuary stairs. Patience doesn’t come naturally!
