The story of Nehemiah rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem is a classic model of managerial leadership.

His approach was methodical (Neh 1-7).

  • He prayed when he heard of the problem.
  • He researched the situation.
  • He gathered others.
  • He proposed a specific project.
  • He encouraged others by letting them know of available resources.
  • He refused to let himself be distracted.

How do you approach a challenge?

I really like the way you have documented the discussion on leadership. It is an area of interest for me, especially in the 21st Church leadership.
