Many people say, “I’m going to church.”
That wording suggests that the church is a building.
To me, it would be more accurate to say, “I’m going to be with my church as we worship and serve together.”
The church is comprised of people.
- The church is Christ’s body, Eph 1:22-23.
- When we read passages that use the metaphor of the church as a building, it’s still clear that it’s about people, Eph 2:18-22. Even if you had no building to share, you would still be a church.
I’m praying that you are often with your church to worship and serve God as you encourage one another and hold one another accountable to Christ, Heb 10:24-25.
Rejoice in being part of His body.
