Some people suffer from being self-centered people pleasers. They are slaves to the opinions of others, seek people’s approval, and desire recognition. The Bible is clear that those who make Jesus the Lord of their lives don’t focus on pleasing others, Gal 1:10.

“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or, do I seek to please men? For, if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

If you struggle in this area and wish to overcome it, consider joining God’s Secret Service.

  • Perform secret acts of service to God (praying and fasting in private).

When you are a member of God’s Secret Service, you stop focusing on yourself and you become Christ-focused.

“He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30.
