Consider the leadership principle in Luke 19:28-44. The crowd that was praising Jesus on His way to Jerusalem is the same crowd who wanted to kill Him a few hours later. Be aware, those who deify may also crucify. Be cautious of people who flatter you at the expense of others.

This is an excellent point! I recently posted about writers online who just praise each other’s works and from writer’s cliques. I feel like the same principle applies. Thanks for sharing this =)

Very good point! Something that it often takes us years to learn, yet it was written as advice before we were born.

This is such a good post. I discovered my love language is Words of Affirmation. And my top strength in strengthFinder is competition. What a recipe for disaster. I have to constantly check my motives.

I’m guessing we each have our own recipe for disaster. You are ahead of many knowing your strengths and how they can become weaknesses when overdone.

Yes people who know say that I am very self aware. I know my blind spots.

I appreciate the short, concise writing style! This is like a devotional- very helpful “nugget of wisdom” 🙂
