When the doctor said I needed corneal rehabilitation, this made me think of Heb 12:2.

Physically, the hard contact lenses I had been wearing had altered the shape of my corneas. I had to stop wearing hard lenses to allow my corneas to return to their original shape.

Spiritually, the hard lenses were a picture of the hard things of the world changing how I saw things. To get my focus back in shape, I had to look through softer lenses.

I needed to focus on Jesus and, as a leader, help others do the same. As Helen Howarth Lemmel wrote:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus.

Look full in His Wonderful Face.

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,

In the light of His glory and grace.
