Chart the Course

“Anyone can steer the ship, but it takes a leader to chart the course.” -John Maxwell

Are you a leader, a person who charts the course?

And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;  Num 1:1-2

Before you move ahead with a project, do you ask God what He wants and make a plan that pleases Him?

  • What are His goals for the project?
  • How can you measure something that will indicate amount of progress toward His goals?

I used to be the chief planner – charting the course for a school with 1,000 students. But now, I am happy to give those reigns in my life & others to the Lord. I’m happy to take the caboose and enjoy the ride!
