For an example of strategy building, consider what Paul did:
- His networking strategy was to leverage social networks by reaching heads of households (Lydia, Acts 16:15; the jailor, Acts 16:33).
- Paul’s preaching strategy was to build from common ground, Acts 17:2-3.
- His geographic strategy was to reach the large centers that would affect whole regions, Acts 19:10.
- Paul’s pastoral strategy was to teach God’s Word and to implore people to lean on Christ, Acts 20:20-21, Acts 20:31.
What is your strategy?
- What is your goal?
- What things could help you achieve your goal [drivers: social networks, common ground, key locations, key people]?
- What things are likely to hinder you in pursuit of your goal [restrainers]?
- What is your step-by-step plan to leverage the drivers, minimize the restrainers, and achieve your goal?
- Who will take the lead for each step?
- How will you evaluate progress and make adjustments as necessary?
