Zephaniah delivered a tough message that he knew people would not receive well,  Zeph 1.

What could you do to be able to deliver a tough message?

  • First, be certain the message is the one God wants you to deliver (not a message to vent your anger or frustration), Luke 12:12.
  • Focus on what God needs people to hear, not what they want to hear, Psa 33:4.
  • Understand the importance of the message long term (not just the immediate situation), Col 3:1-2.
  • Care about the people and allow God to use you as a means to express what changes He desires for their long-term well-being, 1Tim 1:5.
