Lead with Grace

David wrote Psalm 51 with a lament that is relevant to all Christ-followers. 

• Our flesh has been sinful since birth, Psa 51:5.
• God is more concerned with our spiritual state than our physical state, Psa 51:6. 

When we perform a sinful act, there will be negative consequences. If we proceed without finding the cause of our sinful actions, things won’t get better. We’ll continue to focus on our flesh instead of our relationship with Christ. 

• Like David, ask God to give you a clean heart and humble spirit, Psa 51:10.  
• Instead of treating the symptoms, let Jesus treat the root cause (lack of connection with Him), Psa 51:17.
