If God asked you,
“What shall I give you?” what would you say?
What selection criteria would you use to decide what to ask?
- Pleasure: riches, creature comforts
- Pride: popularity, fame
- Problem-removal: trials, enemies
Solomon didn’t ask for any of those things,
2Chr 1:9-10. He asked for:
- God to establish His promises
- the wisdom to glorify God in fulfilling his responsibilities as a leader
Lord, please give us what we need to glorify you as we fulfill the responsibilities you have given us.
